Make a Donation and Touch a Life
RMH could not exist without the support of the communities we serve. Helping to provide care for patients and their families at such a critical time in their lives is truly an act of love. All gifts are acknowledged with a letter to the donor. By supporting RMH you help us continue to provide services to every patient and family who need and want our care, regardless of their ability to pay.
All contributions are greatly appreciated and can be made in the following forms:
Grateful families often request that “memorials be given to Russell-Murray Hospice in lieu of flowers.” A memorial gift is a beautiful way to acknowledge a special person that has made a lasting impression on your life. Frequently RMH receives memorial gifts honoring loved ones that never received our services.
All contributions to Russell-Murray Hospice are tax deductible and acknowledged with a receipt to the donor. A memorial card is sent to the family of the deceased acknowledging the receipt of the gift and the name of the donor.
Honorariums are a thoughtful way to recognize special people in your life while they are still living. You can honor a close friend or family member, a caring RMH employee, or anyone who has touched you life in a memorable way. This gift is also a great way to observe a special occasion such as a birthday, anniversary, or other special occasion.
General donations are an important resource enabling RMH to provide the highest quality of service to our patients and their loved ones. Gifts received from individuals, businesses, church and civic organizations support the good work we do and ensure that Russell-Murray Hospice remains a viable healthcare choice in the communities we serve.
United Way & Employee Charitable Campaign Gifts
You may choose to direct donations to Russell-Murray Hospice through your employer’s annual United Way campaign or other charitable giving options. Many employers have programs that honor former employees that may have passed or allow gifts to be made per an employee request.
Many employers will match your monetary gift to RMH, or perhaps even make a monetary donation to match your volunteer service. Please ask your employer if that is their policy or encourage them to make it policy for the future. It can double your gift and provide twice the support to patients and families in need. You may need to provide your employer with our Tax ID number which we will be happy to supply by calling the Director of Business Development at (405) 262-3088.
Annual Caring for Generations Gala
Each year in January, Russell-Murray Hospice holds the Annual Caring for Generations Gala! This is a fundraising event in which all proceeds raised go to providing care to our non-funded patient population. These patients often times would be turned away from other care sources or would not receive the level of care they need without RMH.
Russell-Murray Hospice has an Endowment Fund established with the Oklahoma City Community Foundation. Donations made to the endowment are thoughtful gifts of perpetuity. RMH earmarks income earned from the fund to support our children’s programs and Charity Care programs. Donations can be made online by visiting http://www.occf.org/onlinegiving.html and in “Fund Name” enter Russell-Murray Hospice. Gifts can also be sent directly to the OCCF at PO Box 1146, Oklahoma City, OK, 73101-1146. Your gift can be made in memory or honor of a person of your choosing. The OCCF will acknowledge the gift, the giver, and RMH. Please provide the address of the person you would like to receive an acknowledgement notice.
Russell-Murray Hospice accepts many in-kind donations, such as office supplies, new & unused personal care items (for example, toiletries, disposable cameras, adult disposable pullups and briefs).
Please consider supporting Russell-Murray Hospice and become a member of our caring team. For more information about donating to support our programs or to memorialize a loved one, please contact our Director of Business Development at (405) 262-3088.
